Structured Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes, in both Gi and No-Gi, that build proper body mechanics, confidence, discipline, teamwork, self-control and strong fundamentals.
Kids at Freestyle train the same two disciplines the adult academy is built on, kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, taught at a level that fits a five-year-old and a twelve-year-old alike. There is no watered-down "karate for kids" curriculum here: they learn how to stand, move, strike and grapple properly from coaches who compete themselves.
Every class runs the same way, so kids always know what is expected of them: a warm-up, a technique of the day, drilling it with a partner under a coach's eye, and a game or challenge to finish. Structure is the point. It is where the discipline, focus and self-control come from.
Three classes, two disciplines. Kids can come to any of them on an unlimited membership, and most do a mix.
Stance, footwork and how to throw a punch and a kick properly, built up through pad work and combinations. Partner drills are controlled and coached, so kids learn distance, timing and respect for a training partner. It is the best cardio and focus work they will do all week, and it is where confidence shows up first.
Grappling in shorts and a rash guard: how to fall and get up safely, positions, escapes and holds that control a bigger kid without a single strike. Jiu Jitsu is problem solving under pressure. Kids learn to stay calm, think and work their way out, on the mats and off them.
The same grappling in the traditional uniform. The gi adds grips, throws and a slower, more technical game, plus the ritual of a uniform: showing up ready, tying the belt, lining up. Kids who do both classes get the complete picture of the art.
No add-ons, no per-class fees. The kids program is part of the same unlimited membership as everything else at the academy, so a child can train kickboxing and jiu jitsu in the same week without paying twice. Pricing and terms: memberships, or ask when you book the free class.
All kids classes run early evening on weekdays and mid-morning on Saturday, so they fit around school. See the full gym schedule for adult classes too.

The first class is free, and nothing about it is a test. Here is how it goes.
Send the form below with your child's age. We reply the same day with the right class to start in (usually the next kickboxing or jiu jitsu class on the schedule) and confirm the time.
Comfortable athletic clothes, a water bottle and bare feet on the mats. No gear is needed for a first class. If they try the Gi class, we will lend or point you to a uniform; ask us before you buy anything.
A coach meets you at the door, pairs your child with an experienced kid who knows how to be a good partner, and runs the class as normal: warm-up, one technique, partner drills, a game to finish. Parents are welcome to stay and watch.
On sparring. Sparring is earned, never forced. Before anyone spars, our kids master the golden rule of martial arts: how to be a great teammate. When a student is ready to take the next step, our advanced kids match their pace. Experienced students practice patience and defense, while newer kids build real confidence behind their strikes. It creates an environment where everyone grows, and no one gets overwhelmed.
The same coaching staff that runs our adult MMA program.

No experience needed. For gear and uniform questions, including what's needed for the Gi class, call or message us before the first class and we'll tell you exactly what to bring.
